Professional Instruction

Our Senior Coach is a Certified Level 3 English CHA instructor as well as a certified Western coach.  Cheryl brings to the farm 20 plus years of experience, in a full range of equestrian activities including Sport horse and pony breeding, hunter-jumper, dressage and eventing .

Raspberry Ridge also brings in professional guest coaches and lecturers as needed for clinics, camps, and special events.

Our Senior camp counselor and occasional lesson instructor began riding/showing with Raspberry Ridge in 1993. Kathleen brings with her a host of equine experience, combined with a Veterinary Assistant certificate.  With a background as well in wildlife rescue, Kathleen continues her studies in Fish and Wildlife Management as an "A" student. Kathleen is shown aboard "Pearl", a Percheron cross mare, a favourite for hacking.

Our working student Melanie has been riding with us for nearly three years after beginning her riding career in Austria. She assisted with the camp for the first time in 2007. Melanie has an interest in cross-country jumping with Welsh/Haflinger cross show/school pony  "Nick of Time", also known as "Nikki".
