Llamas at RRF
Chloe and Pegleg 2002.Over the last  ten years, Raspberry Ridge has added a variety of animals in addition to increasing its' horse herd.  Five years ago, one llama was added, as a novelty.  Now, RRF is looking towardsChloe and Llarry (left)marketing the llama fibre, prized by spinners and luxury clothiers.  It is very fine, soft, light , non-allergic, and not prone to the same shrinkage as wool.
Llama fleece comes in a variety of beautiful, natural colours.  RRF currently has white, cinnamon, and buff, which it hopes to have available to spinners.

Pictured left is Chloe, our breeding female, with her male cria "Pegleg" (one white leg) of 2000.  Chloe is a medium-coated llama with a fine fibre.

On the right are Chloe (near) and Llarry.  On the left is baby Kashmir, at four days old.
