Cross Country CourseLooking for a place to do more cross-country training?

At Raspberry Ridge, we have a two-level cross-country course created by international course designer Hugh Morsehead, with a few prelim. jumps as well.

We again mowed and timmed the entire course and added new brush.We also have added new jumps to our cross-country courses and have given it a complete makeover. We have a complete entry level course and pre-training course and have several training level jumps. Professional cross-country courses include 23 obstacles: logs, ditch, coup, plank, table, water, stone fences, Irish bank, in and out, hogs backs etc. Very approachable for starting or moving up a level. New jumps and new track footing spring 2008 and 2009.

Schooling of cross-country course $35. Groups of four or more $30/horse. You must bring a coach and/or knowledgeable spotter and a cell phone.

Lesson $55. for 1/1/2-2 hrs. We have lots of great hacking for non-jumping friends who might like to come too!

         

Other facilities include:

 
  • Full-sized, lighted outdoor sand ring 200' x 100'
  • 30 x 60 m grass dressage ring
  • Stadium jumping area.
  • 400 acres of pastures, trails, wooded trails. Superb hacking!
  • Certified coach on site.

One of our newest jumps for 2008 is the lovely approachable Canoe Jump, which combines natural elements of small white cedars, red cedar wings and limestone, with the whimsical canoe.

The "Lightning Jump" (the last jump). Named after our beloved school horse who liked to do this jump on her way home from a hack.
