Winter/Spring Newsletter 2008
|
We are still waiting for more of your greatest camp photos. Prizes will be awarded to the best photos of camp and lessons from 2007. See our website for more details. We are now registering for our spring lesson programs. Group lessons are $105. including g.s.t. for four lessons. Private lessons are $147. for four lessons. What's new at RRF? Sue, one of our newest school horses is definitely in foal. She has already started to show a small udder, so we expect that the foal will be born sometime in February. Since we didn't have Sue at the time she got pregnant, we aren't sure of the date. It has been a good winter so far. The horses are fat and happy and having a lot of play time. Our big baby Andante (Andy) now measures 16.2 hands at the withers and 16.3 1/2 at the croup and he is just turning two in March! Janet, Melanie and Cory had a great Fall of cross-country fun with Sullivan, Nikki and Abby, and we all enjoyed the long fall of superb hacking. |
The Winter has been fairly good, with great snow coverage on the trails. Jeff and Heather brought his 4-wheelers out to make more trails. Hopefully Spring will be just as nice for riding. Cheryl is going to be published once again, this time an article devoted to parents trying to decide whether or not their child is ready to go to camp, tips for preparing them, and answers to their frequently asked questions. It will appear in Horse-Canada's HorsePower Magazine in this year's issue dedicated to camps and private schools. If you haven't been able to join us this winter for riding, we hope that you'll be able to make it for Spring and Summer! Give us a call at 613-378-0321
