Leasing a HORSE or PONY or joining our Horse Club

Do you want low commitment riding?

The Raspberry Ridge Horse Club option offers you the most flexibility. No long contract to sign- ride extra when you have the time!

Riders may choose to ride a selection of horses rather than one horse/pony. Riders must catch, groom and tack up their own horses.  Children under 14 who are leasing a horse/pony must be supervised by a parent at all times, and all riders may jump only during lessons unless they receive special permission. Riders are evaluated as to the type of horse that they may ride, then horses are booked on a first come/first served basis.

Horse Club levels to choose from:

Leasing 

An inexpensive alternative to owning your own horse.  No commitment or extra costs. A few of our horses and several ponies are available for full lease year-round to experienced students who have demonstrated their ability to ride independently.  Horses remain on our farm, and we pay all feed, regular vet and blacksmith costs, and supply the tack.   Riders must catch, groom and tack up their own horses.  Children under 14 who are leasing a horse/pony must be supervised by a parent at all times, and all riders may jump only during lessons unless they receive special permission. Riders must sign a one year contract, and may ride up to four times per week.

The cost is a prepaid (at the beginning of each month)$150./month* for riding on most of the horses/ponies available (for one person).  Selected small ponies (usually under 12 hands) are available for lease at $95./month.  Leasing off the farm is subject to different terms, and is to approved sites only.

How to join our Horse Club or Lease:

For persons who are not regular RRF students, an evaluation lesson must be taken at a cost of $25. in the ring. For the safety of horse and rider, riders who have not had formal riding lessons will NOT be eligible to ride unsupervised. These riders would be welcome to join into our lesson program.

Our facilities include a lighted sand ring, cross-country courses***, training track and stadium field, and over 400 acres to ride on.

Most of our horses/ponies are available for the Horse Club.

* Prices do not include GST. Leasing in July or August only will be DOUBLE the normal monthly lease.

**Horses/ponies must be leased on a signed 12-month basis.
