Eventing, also called combined training, is a sport which requires horse and rider to do three tests or phases: dressage which involves changing pace and direction according to a pre-determined test, cross-country jumping which tests the endurance of the horse, and stadium jumping which tests jumping accuracy and soundness. The sport requires a very fit, sensible and sound horse.
